While I have gained great recognition for my electrology advancements and skin injury prevention in beauty trade industry and personal image magazines, I didn't take the test to become certified because there isn’t an observed treatment examination. Anyone can learn or memorize the alphabet, but how many have great communication skills? How would anyone know if I gave a poor treatment? My credentials include physician and consumer endorsements.
Some physicians were clients. My techniques are cited many magazines including: Self, New York Times "Expert Electrologist", GQ "Amazing, the guru of over-growth", Seventeen, Essence, Glamour, Vogue, Women’s Day, industry magazines, and many more.
Whatever hair removal method you choose - wax, depilatory or bleach - here are two ways to avoid irritation, from NYC expert Vivian Orgel. To avoid ingrown hairs, exfoliate first - a gentle scrub helps expose hairs trapped under skin. An astringent after hair removal will help prevent infection.
Electrolysis (a pen-like probe, right, zaps papillae below the hair root with electric current) done in a salon is best; at home electrolysis tools can cause infection.
