Glamor, GQ, Self, Seventeen, Essence, Vogue, New York Times Magazine Author

Hello, I am Vivian Orgel. I treated thousands of people as the former director of Electrology at Bloomingdale's in New York City spa. I have a wealth of knowledge to share with you. I am known for my honest evaluations, high standards, integrity and my gentle techniques. Painless treatments are words that describe my work. After 30 years of experience, I'm still inspired to deliver uncompromising, quality electrolysis to patients in midtown Manhattan, in New York City, NY and in Norfolk, VA. Regardless of your location, there is much to learn on this website. My methods cover a variety of concerns, including addressing medical conditions. I specialize in treating clients with skin sensitivity, problems with stubborn hairs and skin damaged by laser treatments. You will also gain my professional insights - without any additional expense - during your treatment.

Through the years, I’ve advanced safety techniques while providing fast, effective results. You will be astounded to discover the dangers involved with some hair removal treatments. With every hair removal technique, skin injury prevention is important. My articles, published in Dermascope: The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics & Spa Therapy magazine, whose readers include students, dermatologists and other industry professionals, cover this and more.

LASER REQUIRES... multiple treatments, but does not always work for everyone. For example, red, grey, white or blonde hairs cannot be treated with a laser, but can be treated with electrolysis. Similarly, if you're tan or have dark skin, laser treatment does not deliver the best results.

I am an advocate and expert in skin safety, optimal health and well-being. Please read the vital information on this site, especially the FAQs for important information that all electrolysis clients should know.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people are welcome.

"To attain the best results, even with hair removal, I use a mind-body focus. If a technician doesn't recognize how the mind-body connection works, unnecessary skin injury could occur. Incorrect application of heat, a chemical, wax, and even simple shaving can cause a razor burn. Choosing the right person to remove your hair is critical with any method you choose."
